At Fillo AI, we take your privacy extremely seriously. We built this extension with a privacy-first approach, ensuring that your data remains securely within your control.
1. Information We Collect
Fillo AI only gathers information that you explicitly and voluntarily provide. No data is collected passively or without your knowledge. The categories of data stored include:
- Personally Identifiable Information: Full name, first name, last name, middle name, email address, phone number, and date of birth — entered by you into the profile editor.
- Location Information: Home address, street address, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, and country — entered by you for use in address fields on forms.
- Financial Information: Current salary/CTC and expected salary/CTC — entered by you for use in compensation fields on job application forms. No payment card numbers or transaction data are collected.
- Professional Information: Job title, current company, years of experience, LinkedIn URL, GitHub URL, portfolio URL, skills, professional summary, and work authorization status.
- Education Information: Highest qualification, degree, college/university, start/end dates, and CGPA/grade.
- Resume Data: Text extracted from PDFs you voluntarily upload to auto-populate your profile. The PDF is processed locally and the file is never stored or transmitted.
- Custom Q&A Answers: Question-and-answer pairs you write for common application questions, stored for reuse across forms.
2. How We Store Your Data
Everything is Local: All data listed above is stored exclusively in your browser's isolated local storage using the chrome.storage.local API. It is never synced to external servers.
Zero Cloud Storage: We do not operate any external databases, cloud servers, or remote storage systems. Your data never leaves your device.
3. How AI Processing Works
To answer open-ended form questions, Fillo AI can use an AI model. All AI processing is local:
- Local Models (Ollama): All AI inference runs on your own machine via Ollama. Your profile data and form questions are sent only to
localhost:11434 — your own device. Nothing is sent to the internet.
4. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect health or medical information.
- We do not collect passwords, authentication credentials, or PINs.
- We do not collect personal communications (emails, messages, chats).
- We do not track your web browsing history or log which pages you visit.
- We do not monitor clicks, keystrokes, mouse movements, or user activity.
- We do not read or store general webpage content — only form field attributes (name, label, placeholder) are read temporarily to identify fields.
5. Third-Party Services
Fillo AI does not share, sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to any third parties. The only external connection the extension makes is to localhost:11434 (your own device's local Ollama server), which is not a third party.
6. Data Deletion
You have complete control over your data. You can permanently delete all stored profile information and settings at any time from the extension's Profile Settings page. Once deleted, the data is immediately and permanently erased from your browser's local storage.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
